Paying with the Payconiq by Bancontact app also possible with fingerprint or facial recognition
The Payconiq by Bancontact app makes mobile payment always as simple as possible. Today again, with the latest functionality: from now on, no PIN code needed anymore when making a payment; you can simply do so with your fingerprint or through facial recognition.
If your mobile device enables facial recognition or can read your fingerprint, you can activate this functionality in the Payconiq by Bancontact app. This means that anytime you have to enter your PIN code, will be replaced by facial recognition or by your fingerprint. A way to confirm your payment even faster, but always as safely.
This new functionality is available from this week on iOS (Touch ID and Face ID) and will follow on Android in the course of May.
How to activate this in the Payconiq by Bancontact app?
If you have a device that allows facial recognition or fingerprint reading, you can easily activate this new functionality in the app:
- Open the Payconiq by Bancontact app
- Go via the menu to 'Settings'
- Activate Face ID or Touch ID
Ready! From now on you won’t have to enter your PIN code anymore.
Today, you can choose to pay with your fingerprint or … with a smile!
