The holidays are approaching – a time of the year when everything revolves around giving. We give gifts, love, friendship and more to those around us. But organisations that dedicate themselves towards helping others also deserve extra attention. That’s why we created Scan for Change.
Scan for Change makes it easier to give charities in Belgium financial support with small, mobile donations of €2.
After all, what does €2 mean for you? A drink after work? A waffle in the station? We don’t often think about the difference we can make with that small amount. For some people €2 means a hot meal on a cold day, extra resources for cancer research, etc.
How does it work?
We spread QR codes offline and online, accompanied by a story. When you scan the code next to a story, you donate €2 to charities in Belgium that are active in the category represented in the story. The categories that you can donate to are: health, equal opportunities, child welfare, the nature and animal welfare.
The full €2 donation is given to the charities. Moreover, Bancontact Payconiq Company doubles every donation, making your contribution worth €4.
Scan for Change runs from 3–18 December 2019 and is supported by the King Baudouin Foundation. The first edition is being launched in cooperation with 19 Belgian charities.
Where do I find the QR codes?
The offline QR codes are located on walls in the following train stations: Antwerp Central, Ghent Sint-Pieters, Brussels North, Brussels South, Brussels Central, Liège and Bruges.
Online QR codes are spread via www.scanforchange.be.
